About
I have a lifetime of creative experience.
I started by learning to sew at a very young age – out of necessity really – when making Barbie clothes out of Kleenex just wasn’t getting me to where I wanted to go. Then came the teen years of dabbling in everything fashion-wise: sewing, crafting, designing hairdo’s on my sister, lots of art classes. Young adulthood and my first apartment – I made some of the furniture and laid a new floor in the kitchen. Nothing exceptional, first time at both, but I was hooked on interior design. I worked at Nordstrom for over 2 decades. Yep, the school of N. I dressed mannikins, designed windows, produced fashion shows, oversaw remodels, decorated for every possible holiday and then got myself into management for enough years that I knew I never wanted to do it again. Managing, creative or otherwise, isn’t for sissies. If you’ve been there, you know what I mean.
So now I gleefully will decorate your home, design your wedding, create your office, make you a party hat or put a star on your Christmas tree. I love what I do and would love to share it with you.
I have happily painted, sewed, hammered, sawed, drilled, and wallpapered my way through the years. I work in both large scale (your house) and small scale (my crafts). I work just as well by myself as I do on a team – in other words, if I am lucky enough to be hired by you, we can make it a party or I can work alone!
Warmly,
Kim
