I was recently invited to put together a ‘girly-girl’ room for a 7 year old. Since the owners just moved into this new construction home, they didn’t want to make any big changes to the room since it had been freshly painted and carpeted. In my repertoire of fabrics and staging supplies, I came up with a few things leftover from wedding receptions and birthday party events I’ve done, and somehow they all sort of worked together. They had a 1940’s dresser and bed, and a little painted nightstand for me to work in. I repainted the table lamp and glued silk flowers to the shade. A trip to Kohl’s resulted in a screaming deal for the comforter set (29.29 for all 5 pieces) that just happened to match all the ’stuff’ I was using. I LOVE happy accidents! Artwork for now consists of a Disney Princess calendar that we cut up and to the wall. Sweet Dreams little one!
